Lisa Salim, ARAD,
RAD RTS

Founder and Principal

She started learning ballet since 6 years old at Marlupi Dance Academy and achieved ARAD from Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in 2008. She is a certified Teacher in Ballet Studies from RAD. She has been teaching Ballet and Jazz since High School, also had been appointed as the head of branch and Director of Jazz during her career with MDA. Besides, She was trained at the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy in Sydney, Australia. She got Progressing Ballet Technique Teacher certified by Miss Marie Walton Mahon in 2017 and also as a Silver Swan Certified Teahcer from RAD.  By the Grace of God, She got the opportunity to open her own Dance School. With passion in teaching and training young talented and hardworking dancers, She hopes Indonesian dancers could be respected also accepted both nationally and internationally.

Ms Lydia

Janice Imawan, S.Ds

Head of Hip-Hop Department and Hip-hop, K-pop & Ballet Teacher

She started her ballet training in 1995 at Marlupi Dance Academy and graduated her Vocational Graded (Advanced 1) in 2007. She started Modern Dance since High School and joined a group called Explozio Crew in 2010. She also started KPOP Dance Cover in 2010 with Sparkling! Project and won a first place at Wonder Girls look a like dance Competition.

She had experiences of teaching around 9 years in some of well known ballet school in Indonesia. And She is now teaching at Jakarta School of Art.

Lydia Salim, B.Arch, MA

Co-Founder and Artistic Director 

She started ballet at the age of 5 at MDA.

She had been awarded as "The Most Progression Student, Student of The Year and Talented Dancer” at MDA.

She also joined yearly Summer School Programs

by RAD and Beijing Dance Academy (BDA). During her studies,

She danced several repertoires as Corps de Ballet.

She also was an assistant teacher

at MDA Sunter. Decided to pursue her other passion in Architecture, She left to Manchester, UK, for masters program in 2014. She also joined ballet class and contemporary class

by KNT Danceworks in Manchester. In 2021, She Joined an online workshop and got a teacher certification for Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) under the guidence of the founder itself, Mrs Marie Mahon Walton. For now, She is focused to teach a young generation in JSA.

Josephine Linando, S.Si

Ballet Teacher

Veronica Novianto, S.Ab

Head of Ballet Department and Ballet Teacher

She was born in Surabaya and got a degree in  Administration and business from at Kwik Kian Gie School of Business in 2021. She started ballet at the age of 8, under Flamboyant Ballet School and Dance Academy, Surabaya. She took the Royal Academy of Dance vocational major examinations in 2009-2012 and 2014 with Distinction. She is now teaching at Jakarta School of Art

She started her ballet training in 1996 at Marlupi Dance Academy. In 2008, She continued her training at Christine Ballet, Bandung. She also learned another genre of dances, such as Jazz, Contemporary, Hiphop at Wild Mild Dance Entertainment, Bandung in 2010

She graduated RAD Vocational Examination Intermediate in 2011. She had 4 years experience of teaching Ballet at Wild Mild Dance School and Arabesque Ballet in Bandung. as she continue her passion with children, teaching and dancing. She is now teaching at Jakarta School of Art.

Theresia Widjaja, DHM

Assistant Ballet Teacher

She studied formal Hospitality Management at the William Angliss in Melbourne. Due to her love of the children, She began her journey as a teacher, teaching for both English and Mandarin Languages at the Rainbow Pre School. She then expanded her love by combining it with her great passion in art. She continued the journey by joining the Jakarta School of Art to learn more about the art of dance, particularly in ballet. Since then She has been training herself as a ballet teacher at Jakarta School of Art.
